Below is a small sample of Cdi / ECU we supply which are fully programable capable of plugging directly into your existing loom giving you the option of adjusting any parameter your original unit controls. We have extensivly tested these units and found them almost flawless providing they are correctly setup. In most cases with vehicles due to minor changes with fuelling engine etc a basic map will work well for one and not something similair having the option of creating a ignition table tuned to give your bike optimum performance is now affordable. With much time spent i have exceeded output figures of many stock and evern race kit offered CDIs and for many models we have found optimum rpm limits which wont prematurly cause engine failure. With most programable CDIs offered features available will be: determination of final RPM limit, creation of custom ignition map to suit your individual engine setup, use of shift lights with adjustable trigger, use of power jet at programable rpm point, use of clutchless shift with programable time, many other features include Tp sensor to create a ignition map not only positional to rpm but throttle position also. We are in the process also of kitting together a budget data logging kit plotting RPM against 02 reading in a very straight forward format making it simple for anyone to correctly setup fueling on there bike in natural conditions. All CDIs offered will come with a base map (tell us your vehicles usage and spec) making it a plug and go unit but we recomend the units are fine tuned using the correct equipment as there are no "safe working zones" with these units, just adding advance to a ignition curve will in many cases cause motors to fail prematurly through detonition or causeing hot running and in many cases loose bhp. Creating a true igintion table will be dependent upon fuel % levels at givern RPM let alone any other factors such as type of fuel used and compresion ratios etc etc, for this reason many kit CDI units are usually setup conservativly to allow for such a range of variables or may only work well provided all other kit instructions are followed with no deviations. On early CBR600s we were able to make gains of almost 5bhp in places over factory kit cdis by adjusting the ignition in relation to the fuel table and finding upper and lower points of advance and retard where power falls away and creating a optimum map down the center of these boundarys this can only be done methodicly with the correct equipment in controled conditions. The programable ECUs offered again are plug in devices to existing loom connectors and allow all functions the original ECU controls to be adjusted with many other benefits including coded key removal and parameter monitoring. It would be a long process to explain all features but some useful controls other than building 3D fuel maps and ignition tables are fuel tables for secondry injectors can be adjusted secondry throttle and exhaust servos can be positioned as required against rpm and TP, gear corrections can be disabled or enabled as required, temperature compensations can be made or disabled, all systems can be monitored to see component performance plus many many more options not mentioned. On a K7 GSXR600 with mild engine mods we struggled to get more than 114bhp using a power commander for fuel correction. When we set the bike up using a programable ignition peek power figures of 119bhp were seen with larger gains at points lower down the graph. Unfortunatly with these units as there so many parameters to be adjusted these units require extensive set up and base figures will only be enough to get the vehicle running. Once setup you will have a full understanding of how your bike is working with regards to overiding compensations from the ecu with options of tuning your bikes performance to suit exactly as you require. Both ECUs and CDIs are setup using windows based software connected via common serial or USB connections and in all cases units will plug directly into existing connections no need for extra loom or add piggy back units.
