Connor Behan 2010 Junior Superstock

Along with Maxton Engineering and help from Bristol Kawasaki we will be helping Connor Behan contend in this years Metzler Superstock 600 championship. Unfortunately this year got off to a very late start with the delivery of a brand new 2010 Kawasaki ZX6R only one month before the first round at brands hatch this coupled with delays in parts and a very limited budget the bike was not evern fully completed the night before leaving for brands. The bike had done less than 300 miles from new all on the dyno so any advantage of pre testing went completely out of the window. Connor basically had to turn up at brands hatch on a untested / unpainted bike and with a huge hurdle of getting used to riding a 600 superstock bike moving up from the 125 2 strokes he has raced previously. With all this in mind Connor got out at brands and eventually qualified in the shoot out, unfortunately it was just to much to ask for in the race and he had to eventually pull in. We now had a small window of time to get some paint on the bike try and get some spares together and get the bike dialed in, the test day at oulton saw Connor send his times down from 1.49 secs to regular 1.45s in trackday traffic the time on the bike now is starting show as the wirral 100 race the following day on the saturday he consistently rode round in mid 1.44s and finishing 4th in a very fast formula 600 race on a stock bike. The next meeting will be Thruxton on the 18th april i will update this page as results become available.

As with any race team we are always looking for sponsorship for both this year but more so 2011 main sponsors are required, if you are in a position to offer any assistance in both funding and equipment please email me @ dynoproracing@gmail.com for a current portfolio and race schedule for 2011.

Overal this season has been to me fantastic from start to finesh and Connor has always more than exceeded any expectations we had at the start of the decision to run in junior 600. Connor manged to adjust his riding from a 125 class and move to 600 bike almost effortly withought any behind the scenes testing and a bike not evern ready for first race of the year he moved almost imeadiatly to being a top ten runner with qualifying and race results regulary in the top 5. At this level of racing what he has done there is really a far greater acheivment than than some of the results show. Although this class is designed to keep budgets to a minimum the larger budget teams will have advantages with setup, equipment tyres and spares which will inevitably count towards better results and making things more streamlined. With great credit also going to maxton engineering Connor has ran there equipment to at the sharp end regulary within just tenths of fastest laps and evern setting a lap record at one proving that maxton equipment is equaly a match for anything else available.

Next year will be the year there is no doubt in my mind the championship will be his, he will be starting the season on a evern field and hopefuly a little more budget and sponsor suport we can aproach the circuits with acurate data logging and brand new equipment eliminating the risks of failure.
